I bring more than 25 years of public relations experience to my clients, with special expertise in media relations.
Over the course of my career, I have worked with the press to generate hundreds of news stories in print and broadcast media outlets, have assisted clients in becoming information resources to the media resulting in long-lasting client/media relationships, and have managed reporter-initiated news stories to the maximum benefit of clients. I have developed, managed and implemented hundreds of publicity campaigns.
In addition to media relations, I provide public relations planning, professional writing, collateral design and production, community relations programming and special event development and implementation for businesses and nonprofit organizations.
I launched my freelance public relations practice, Cindy Schutt PR, in March of 2004 after serving as president of Aces High-Impact Communications, Inc., for three years. Prior to opening Aces as a 50 percent partner, I served as vice president for another South Florida public relations firm for five years. In that position, I worked side-by-side with company principals to plan, manage and implement a variety of communications activities for all types of businesses and non-profits.
I’ve also served as an account executive and then vice president for one of South Florida's largest public relations firms, held the position of communications coordinator for a Boca Raton developer, and was a reporter for a group of weekly newspapers.
I am an avid Gator fan having earned a degree in Journalism with a Public Relations major from the College of Journalism and Communications at the University of Florida. I also am accredited in public relations (APR) by the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA), the world’s largest and most prestigious organization for public relations professionals. |
